Responsible for managing existing lead systems and relationships for Wickr to build new business opportunities in key Federal segments (IC preferred), this role requires someone who is fearless in selling disruptive solutions and reaching out to key prospects, stakeholders, and channels.  This position will report to the SVP of Sales and requires someone with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Functions

  • Strategically identify, target, and close new accounts to generate revenue for the company.
  • Effectively communicate with product, technology and business departments, while coordinating and managing deliverables.
  • Meet or exceed sales and product objectives as assigned.
  • Work strategically with the SVP of Global Sales to identify trending opportunities/challenges and provide recommended solutions.
  • Prepare a GTM territory plan.
  • Prepare presentations and sales displays in order to pitch and sell products.
  • Effectively qualify leads and identify prospect needs, engaging technical resources as required.
  • Conduct high-level conversations with C and VP level Executives to address business needs.
  • Develop quotes, proposals, business cases and customer relationships.
  • Negotiate deal points and draft term sheets.
  • Utilize Salesforce to provide timely and accurate sales activity tracking and status updates.
  • Resolve client issues in a timely and thorough manner; escalates issues to manager as appropriate.
  • Keep informed of product line, competition and industry trends that may impact client business activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop highly performant and scalable WebSocket and HTTP services used for sending encrypted messages in a distributed system.
  • Work with the admin console and app teams to design and implement cross platform functionality and integrations via well designed and documented APIs.
  • Implement integrations with 3rd party components such as OIDC and analytics.
  • Write code that’s well-covered by automated tests, and support automated CI systems that execute the tests before deployment or merge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field.
  • 4+ years of experience with asynchronous programming in a language like Node, Go, or Rust.
  • Experience with relational databases like MySQL.
  • Experience using WebSockets.
  • Familiarity with messaging queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with Linux based systems, and command line tools such as SSH.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as S3 and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with docker a plus.

What We Seek

Wickr is looking for a highly energetic and driven individual with sound business acumen and natural sales instincts to join us as a Sales Development Representative to grow our qualified lead pipeline.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with some sales experience and a track record of success. This position will be responsible for identifying new sales prospects, developing and executing email and call plans, and setting meetings for Sales Representatives after new leads are qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate outbound prospecting to include researching accounts and identifying key players to build prospect lists
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute multi-target, multi-touch email and calling campaigns for target accounts and prospects that generate interest and new leads
  • Qualify new leads and set meetings for Account Executives
  • Develop and maintain daily outreach plans to maximize touch points, including pre-call planning, adhering to metrics and customizing scripts to market segments and prospect type
  • Understand how Wickr’s products match with target segment business priorities to effectively and independently distill and deliver the Wickr value proposition, articulating Wickr’s products, features, and benefits over the phone and via email
  • Become a trusted resource and develop solid relationships with prospects
  • Track prospect interaction in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management and easily summarize feedback
  • Deliver individual daily/weekly activity volume, sales goals, and opportunity production


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable talking on the phone with exceptional objection handling
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, specifically tenacity, resourcefulness and a strong desire to win

Your Background – You have experience and interest in the privacy and security space. You follow the latest trends in cybersecurity and the threats that are impacting companies globally. You can engage in a conversation regarding the importance of security and the ways in which threats are occurring. You understand and can discuss networking topics in relation to enterprise deployment models and have an ability to collaborate with IT & Security specialists to enable secure collaboration inside and outside an organization. This includes an understanding of network architectures, IT & Security products and protocols, etc.

Your Day to Day:

  • Engage with your customers through regular calls, business reviews and daily needs.
  • Monitor and manage adoption metrics to ensure customers are utilizing the full Wickr platform.
  • Create success plans or get-well plans for your customers and document customer progress toward established goals and results.
  • Manage escalations closely, acting as the quarterback for all critical issues and ensuring multiple internal teams are aligned.
  • Communicating major milestones and updates to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with other teams to be the Voice of the Customer.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Security trends and risks to ensure proper implementation in every customer’s environment.
  • Become the trusted advisor to your customer, ability to deliver on the Customer’s definition of value.
  • Identify upsell and cross sell opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ working in a customer-facing role, working with Enterprise-level customers.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience, working knowledge with Government, Military, etc type organizations – both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven system for tracking multiple customer requests, issues, and strategic plans.
  • Security Industry experience.
  • IT Networking experience – configuration and connectivity protocols.
  • Demonstrated success in large scale deployments of a new technology.
  • A proven track record of driving change within large organizations.
  • Previous experience tracking product adoption and customer engagement through data-analysis tools.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, responsible, and focused on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with change and excel in high-stress situations with frequently changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with G-Suite, Office, Salesforce, and CS Tools.

This is a key role here at Wickr, responsible for providing detailed technical support to our customers relating to our SaaS cloud hosted and Enterprise Customer-hosted solutions. In this role, you will work with cutting edge technology, redefining the future of secure, private communications and help further our important commercial focused mission. To be successful in this role, you must be a self-starter, keen to learn and experiment with new technologies, and be able to work both independently and as part of a small team, while collaborating with cross-team members in the Sales, Customer Success, Product, DevOps and Engineering side of the house.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide tier 2 and 3 technical support via secure messaging (70%), email (20%), phone (10%), and escalate any unresolved issues to the appropriate team member, while maintaining continuous communications with the customer.
  • Find and replicate customer issues within Wickr’s own technologies, as well as recommendations on work-arounds/solutions when it comes to integrating Wickr within  Customer environments.
  • Build and test Wickr Enterprise infrastructure on multiple Cloud platforms.
  • Manage and document support tickets in git and/or zendesk, ensuring each contains an accurate record while keeping the customer up to date on progress.
  • Help complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when bug fixes are released.
  • Start and contribute thoughtfully to projects that enhance the quality and efficiency of the Customer Success and Support teams.
  • Help drive the product direction based on customer feedback and usage.
  • Become a subject matter expert of Wickr technologies to help develop Technical Support FAQs, training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc for both internal and external needs.
  • Cross collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Product & Development teams – help be the voice of the Customer. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong Linux Systems Administration background (CentOS/Ubuntu primarily).
  • Strong Bash and/or scripting language experience.
  • Cryptography experience a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with Cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, VMWare, OpenStack) a plus.
  • Docker or Kubernetes knowledge a plus.
  • REST API familiarity for troubleshooting purposes.
  • 2-4 years of technical customer support experience; SaaS or PaaS products preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to say “I don’t know, but I will find out.”
  • Ability to debug complex and unique issues on both servers and native end clients.
  • History of maintaining a professional attitude and remaining calm when working on difficult issues.
  • Must be willing to primarily work remotely, ideal time zone location is US central or east coast.
  • Ability to travel for key customer visits or with our teams across the US.
