Q: Why was Wickr Pro discontinued?
The decision to deprecate Wickr Pro was made after we announced the general availability of AWS Wickr — a replacement for Wickr Pro that offers additional features to protect communications, while working to meet internal and external data retention requirements.
Q: When was the discontinuation of Wickr Pro announced?
We announced the deprecation of Wickr Pro in January 2023. Since then, additional communications were distributed to Wickr Pro admins via email, in-app messages, and console messages.
Q: What happened to my Wickr Pro account?
Access to Wickr Pro admin console and Wickr Pro app is no longer available and messaging has been disabled.
Q: I didn’t migrate to AWS Wickr. Where is my data?
All Wickr Pro networks, messages, and files will be deleted, except as required by relevant laws and regulations.
Q: I didn’t migrate my Wickr Pro account to AWS Wickr prior to the shut down. What can I do?
